THE MONT-BLANC TRIATHLON LAUNCHES A FULL DISTANCE FORMAT - THE MONT-BLANC MAN!

The 18th edition of the International Mont-Blanc Triathlon will be held on 17 and 18 June 2023, starting from Passy. The event gives all triple effort enthusiasts the opportunity to set off on magnificent courses facing the “roof of Europe”. This change of dates, requested by most of the participants, will allow for better comfort on the races, especially on the cycling sections, with less traffic on the roads than in the traditional date in August.

The Mont-Blanc Man (FULL DISTANCE)

In 2023, the organisers are offering a new race format that is even bigger, higher and more majestic: the Mont-Blanc Man.

This new race will start at dawn on Saturday 17 June with 2 swimming loops in the lake of Passy including 3800m of swimming and an Australian-style exit mid-course. The triathletes will then enjoy a magnificent 150km bike course with a positive difference in altitude of around 3,150m taking them through the towns of Passy, Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz, Megève, Saint-Gervais and Les Contamines, among others. The 2 major passes of this course are the mythical Colombière and Aravis, and new for this year the ascent of Bettex, which will give the participants a hard time. The triathletes will finish with the mythical marathon distance broken down into several loops around the Passy leisure centre; a perfect course for the public to cheer on the triathletes right to the end of their challenge.

The Half Mont-Blanc Man

This distance will be organised on Saturday 17 June 2023. In a change to the format, the Bettex climb will be replaced by the Cordon climb, thus offering several breathtaking views of Mont-Blanc.

The other formats

The other race formats remain unchanged. Many participants are expected this year and will be able to marvel at the 10 communes of the Mont-Blanc region which will all be crossed during this event.

Registration is now open and places are limited!
