  • 3 of the 5 race formats are now fully booked for the return of the event after an absence of 2 years
  • Race formats for all ages and levels in a majestic setting

The success of this 17th edition

After two editions cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Mont-Blanc International Triathlon is back stronger than ever on the Passy site with a record participation of more than 2,200 triathletes in search of the summits. This year, five race formats open to individuals and relays are proposed to triathletes: Kids 8-11 years, Discovery, Sprint, Olympic and Half.

Victim of their success, the Sprint and Olympic individual and relay formats are fully booked, confirming that the lovers of the Passy site are eager to return to this internationally renowned setting.

The event’s major asset

In a majestic setting, between lake and mountain, each race will allow you to discover the hidden treasures of Passy, facing the highest peak in Europe.

The start of the swim will take place at the Passy Lake facing the mythical Mont-Blanc. For the shorter distances (Discovery and Sprint), participants will be able to taste the joys of the triple effort. These events will be appreciated by beginners and more experienced triathletes. Finally, the Kids 8-11 years old format will start at 9.30 am on Sunday for a 100 m swim, followed by a 2.5 km mountain bike race and a 1 km run before crossing the finish line to the applause of parents: Emotions guaranteed.

Offering long distance formats such as the Olympic, the participants will have to climb 900 m on their bikes before covering the 10 km run around the Passy Lake and crossing the finish line.

The Half format is the expected event of the weekend for mountain lovers. The 72 km bike course will give triathletes the opportunity to cross 5 communes of the Mont-Blanc region, including Passy and Saint-Gervais, in order to challenge each other individually or in relays over 1,800 m of positive altitude difference. On the programme: the ascent of Bettex and the ascent of Plaine-Joux with a breathtaking view on the Mont-Blanc.
